Dear Friends -

In additiona to dining out to support Food & Friends, as I have the past several years, this year I will serve as an Ambassador for this important fund-raising event. As an Ambassador I will be at one of 150 local participating restaurants which have committed a portion of their proceeds for lunch and/or dinner on Thursday, March 11th. Come visit me, have a meal, and enjoy knowing that a portion of the restaurant's proceeds for that day are going straight to Food & Friends.

Food & Friends assists thousands of children and adults in the D.C. area living with HIV/AIDS or other life-threatening illnesses by delivering nutritious meals to their front door. I have delivered meals for Food & Friends, driving to some of the poorest parts of our city, and was overWHELMED by the gratitude with which I was greeted. It literally brought me to tears.
