Marilyn P. is living with Breast Cancer. She began service with Food & Friends in 2006, at which point she was living in a shelter. She has attended cooking classes held here at Food & Friends. On her first day at cooking class, Marilyn was surprised to see a friend she had made through her chemotherapy sessions, and the two friends were delighted to reconnect. In January of 2007, Marilyn was able to move into her own apartment. She always lets Food & Friends' staff know how much she appreciates our services, and in November of 2008, she felt she was doing well enough to discontinue service and fully prepare food on her own.
