Volunteering for Dining Out For Life is a great way to do something good for the community and feel great while doing it!  This March, we need your help to make Dining Out for Life a success by serving as either a Restaurant or Neighborhood Ambassador. The time commitment is not large but the value to our neighbors living with HIV/AIDS and cancer is immeasurable!

Restaurant Ambassador
You'll be stationed at one of our restaurants on March 11th. Your primary responsibility is to invite all of your friends, family and colleagues to dine with you. You will also greet and thank diners, and distribute raffle entry envelopes.  These envelopes are particularly important because they also serve as donation envelopes.  In 2009, our Restaurant Ambassadors raised over $85,000 in one night through these envelopes!

We will provide you with all of the information needed to be a successful Restaurant Ambassador.  And, for those of you who were not Ambassadors in 2009, we ask that you attend one of the following orientation sessions.

• Saturday, February 20th at 10:30am at Food & Friends
• Wednesday, February 24th at 7pm at Food & Friends
• Saturday, February 27th at 10:30am at Courtyard by Marriott in Crystal City (2899 Jefferson Davis Hwy) This is NOT the big Marriott.
• Saturday, March 6th at 10:30am at Food & Friends (NEWLY ADDED!)

Neighborhood Ambassador
With over 150 participating restaurants and hundreds of volunteers throughout the city, we need a few people to help support our Restaurant Ambassadors on March 11th.  As a Neighborhood Ambassador you will be loaded up with additional supplies and assigned to a group of restaurants.  Then, in addition to enjoying a great meal, you'll stop in at each restaurant to check on the Restaurant Ambassador and deliver any needed supplies.  This is a VERY limited position.
