We encourage individuals, businesses, faith communities and schools who are interested in giving back to organize a food drive benefiting the clients of Food & Friends. Below you will find the information you need for a successful food drive.
Who to contact:
Pamela Giller, 202.269.6894
How to Package:
Items should be in heavy (double) bags or packaged in boxes that you do not need returned to you. Items do not need to be sorted - we will take care of that!
Keep in Mind:
Because of our clients' health concerns, we are somewhat strict about the donations we can accept. We need non-dented canned or boxed items that are not past their expiration date. All items should be in non-glass containers only. Please see our list below.
Getting the Food to Us:
You may drop-off your donations at Food & Friends 8am - 6pm Monday - Thursday, 8am - 2 pm Friday, or Saturday 8am - noon. To schedule a pick-up for larger quantities, please contact Charles Battle, 202.269.6829.
